The
Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring and improve industrial processes
capability by using statistical process control (SPC), DOE (design of
experiment), data analysis and problem-solving skills.
He/She
contributes in updating PFMEA (Process Failure mode and effect Analysis) and
optimize operative procedures and methodologies to guarantee a high-quality
level.
He/She
drives continuous improvement activities like process throughput improvement,
defects and cost reduction.
The Process Engineer works in a complex environment in strong collaboration
with Equipment Engineers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing and RnD.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
· Identifying and use the most appropriate process and equipment control methods (e.g. Training, APC, Reaction mechanism) and performing control activities aimed to minimize probability of process failure
· Assuring the compliance of Critical SPC (statistical process control) capability index
· Conducting data analysis of process abnormalities, producing detailed deviation’s reports, defining the root causes of process/tool shift and implementing the actions to fix the root cause
· Conducting analysis for a better integration between equipments, modules and processes and implementing the solutions
· Defining and management projects aimed to improve the efficiency of the area (cost reduction, reworks, cycle time, RPT and Yield)
· Participating to inter–area/fab projects
· Preparing and executing engineering tests
· Performing periodical review of PFMEA (Process failure mode and effect analysis) and implementing relative corrective actions
· Determining new BKM (Best Known Methods) to perform analysis with innovative methods and procedure
· Analyzing the cost structure of an assigned technology, controlling and implement the new operative and maintenance procedures in order to improve overall process efficiency and reduce the cost
